Summer weather on the move

This year’s summer, in addition to great conditions for relaxation, has also brought us heat waves and temperature records around the world. At the beginning of July, Death Valley in California recorded a high of 54.4°C, just 2° below the record set 108 years ago. High temperatures also appeared in Scandinavia. In the north, just beyond the Arctic Circle, temperatures reached as high as 34.3°C. Although by global standards this does not seem like an impressive result, remember that we are talking about a region that is associated with cold.

Poland also fell victim to a hot summer. After a very warm June (it ranked as the second highest recorded temperature in the history of our country), July arrived, and with it weather anomalies exceeding the long-term norm by as much as 2.8°C. In some places, e.g. in Podlasie, these differences amounted to as much as 4.5°! Can we still talk about a comfortable rest and safe travel?
